• Samantha Oberland

  Founder, COO

  Samantha is a proud graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in Linguistics. She studied Indigenous languages in the Amazon region of Peru and presented socio-linguistic research at the University of Puerto Rico. Samantha served as a Teach for America Corps Member in Miami, where she taught Intensive Reading and Critical Thinking to 11th and 12th grade students. She then spent five years at Teachable, an educational SaaS start-up, where she established and oversaw the company’s Technical Support operations. Her time in teaching and tech built Samantha’s expertise in change management, team leadership, and systems engineering. Her role as COO of Medium Orange Group draws on her technical skills and operational expertise.

• Graham Oberland

  Founder, CEO

  Graham is also a proud graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain scholar, and holds an MBA from UPenn Wharton and a Masters of International Relations from Johns Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies. He spent five years as a strategy consultant in Deloitte’s public sector practice, where he analyzed complex supply chains for defense clients, building expertise in small businesses crucial to the US industrial base. Graham currently serves as Director of Systems Innovation & Policy at Rural Opportunity Institute (ROI), a start-up nonprofit in eastern North Carolina dedicated to breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma and poverty. His role as CEO of Medium Orange Group combines his experience in the business and social impact sectors.

• Seth Saeugling

  Acquisition Process

  Seth Saeugling is a Strategic Integrator and Builder. He does his best work as an architect—designing teams and using limited resources to build things that work. Seth has two core passions: first, for education and healing, shaped by his early years as a high school special education teacher and nonprofit leader. He co-founded Rural Opportunity Institute to design practical solutions that heal trauma, reaching over 50,000 people to date. Second, he loves partnering with small business owners to extend their legacy, finding off-market opportunities and investing in what matters most: people, good service, and the teams behind every business. Coming from a family of small business owners, he respects their vision, work ethic, and the vital role they play in a community. Seth shares his real estate experience by guiding Medium Orange Group’s pipeline development and deal due diligence strategy.
• Maximus Ateba

  Financial Strategy

  Max is a Strategy & Operations leader with 15+ years of experience in finance, operations, and consulting. He has worked at Morgan Stanley and Deloitte and served as an Associate Partner at Dalberg. He also founded Data Charter Group, an impact finance consulting firm with operations across West Africa, and served in the US Army Reserve Medical Command for nine years. He holds a BS from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, an MBA from St. John’s University, and is currently completing an MS in Clinical Operations at Harvard Medical School. Max brings his depth of financial and operational expertise to help Medium Orange Group evaluate potential acquisitions and create operational plans to grow our businesses.
